Chania Lighthouse

    The Venician lighthouse is situated in the old harbour at Chania 37 km away from Aloni Villa. From the original Venician lighthouse which dominated the entrance of the harbour, only the base survives today, built with the same sandstone as the Walls.

  The present light-house, rebuilt during the Egyptian occupation (1821-1841), is different from the original and is rather reminiscent of a minaret, as regards its shape and the inside stone staircase leading to the balcony and the glass tower.

Old Harbour

   A very distinctive area of the Old Town is the harbour itself and generally the seafront ("akti"). Akti Tompazi, Akti Kountouriotou and Akti Enoseos (marina) all feature several historical buildings and a thriving nightlife.

Lake of Kournas

    The lake of Kournas in Crete is 9km away from the Villa Aloni.Covers a total area of about 160000 square metres with a depth of up to 25 metres. There are several tavernas where you can taste traditional cretan food and you can also rent a seabicycle.

Samaria gorge 
    In Chania there are over 15 different and separate farangia.To largest and most famous gorge worth visiting is the Samaria Gorge which is the largest in Europe with a length of 18km. the White Mountains. You can also visit the many tourist spots, and traditional villages. 
    There are many different beaches with crystal blue waters, white and red sand.Some of these are: Falaserna,Elafonisi, Balos, Georgioupolis, Sougia, Paleochora,Frangokastelo and Sfakia.
